George Frederic Plate is appointed Consul in Yokohama, F. Howard Vyse provisional vice-consul in Hakodate.

Bii Zijner Majesteits besluit van den 28sten Januarij 1864, n°. 81, is de heer G. F. Plate benoemd tot consul der Nederlanden te Kanagawa.

Door zijne Majesteit is goedgekeurd de door den Nederlandschen consul-generaal en politieken agent in Japan gedane voorloopige benoeming van den heer F. Howard Vyse tot vice-consul te Hakodate.
